Stop 1: Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard & Winery

Your first stop will be a 26-minute drive from The Swiftwater, taking you through the rolling hills of the Pocono Mountains. Did you know that Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard and Winery is the 13th top ranked winery in the nation by Travel & Leisure? This is a can’t miss stop on your visit to the Pocono Mountains! At Blue Ridge, you will find an incredible tasting area that overlooks the vineyards below. You can relax with a glass of wine in your hand or walk through the vineyards. If you’re hoping to stay indoors or closer to The Swiftwater, take a quick 5-minute drive to Blue Ridge Winery’s store at the Pocono Premium Outlets! No matter which location you choose to visit, make sure to check out The Godfather, a fan-favorite dry red wine!

Stop 2: Sorrenti Family Estate

Next up, drive 12 minutes to Sorrenti Family Estate in Saylorsburg! Sorrenti’s has been around since the 1980s, making it the oldest winery in the Pocono Mountains! The Sorrenti Family Estate is also home to a distillery and pizzeria. Plus, if you like live music, Sorrenti’s Mamma Lucia’s Pizzeria is a great option as they offer live music every week. While here, grab a snack at the pizzeria and try out some different wines and spirits.

Stop 3: Eagles Rest Cellars

After Sorrenti Family Estate, you have a quick 17-minute drive to Eagles Rest Cellars in Stroudsburg! Eagles Rest, officially established in 2018, had its first vines planted in 2014. The vineyard, which now has over 900 vines, is a part of the Eagles Rest farm, set atop 200-acres of land. On your visit to Eagles Rest, you will be met with the opportunity to enjoy different tastings in the winery, explore the flower garden in the spring, and explore the pumpkin patch in the fall! On your visit, make sure you try their bestselling dry white wine, Taxi.

Stop 4: Silverback Distillery

After Eagles Rest Cellars, the 17-minute drive to Silverback Distillery is well worth it! Did you know that Silverback is owned by the only mother-daughter distilling team in the United States? That, along with their award-winning spirits, is what makes Silverback such a great stop in your exploration of the Poconos. If you live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, you may have even heard of them before as they have a location in Afton as well! On your visit to Silverback, make sure you try their Blackback Rye Whiskey, infused with honey liqueur.

Stop 5: Barley Creek Brewing Company

Finally, end your day off at Barley Creek Brewing Company for some delicious food and great beer! A 24-minute drive from Silverback Distillery brings you to Barley Creek, which opened its doors in 1995, and is considered the first microbrewery since the Prohibition. From food to beer and spirits, this bar and restaurant has it all. If you visit in the summer, make sure to check out Pint Size Park- Barley Creek’s outdoor dining area! Plus, at the end of your night, The Swiftwater is only 7 minutes away!

No matter what you plan to do, The Swiftwater and our dedicated concierge are here to make your day perfect! Then, after your day tasting the signature beverages of the Poconos, come back to the Swiftwater and try one of our crafted cocktails with dinner at The Olivet or head over to Desaki for creative specials and delicious hibachi!
