To kickstart the Fourth of July festivities, the Greater Honesdale Partnership is hosting a Fireworks Celebration on July 1st, 2024. This event will take place at Honesdale Central Park, a 58-minute drive from The Swiftwater, beginning at 8:30pm. Prior to the fireworks celebration, you can catch live music with Music in the Park, presented by Wayne County Creative Arts Council beginning at 6:30pm.
Each year, The Chamber of the Northern Poconos, along with other local businesses, host an incredible fireworks display over Lake Wallenpaupack. This event is an unforgettable experience for you and the family to enjoy! Wallenpaupack Area High School, 49 minutes away, even offers parking and seating for guests. Beginning promptly at 9:00pm, you will want to get there early to secure your spot!
McAteer & Will Estates is set to host their Rockin’ Fourth of July Celebration at Airport Park in Matamoras, about one hour from The Swiftwater, on July 4th, 2024. This ‘rockin’ event is a true night to remember! With a live DJ, various food vendors, games, and more, followed by a fireworks spectacular, you won’t want to miss out!
Camelbeach’s Independence Day Celebration, only 12 minutes away from The Swiftwater, is a great stop when you visit The Swiftwater for the Fourth of July! This event is free, with a $12 fee for parking, making it a great event for the family to visit. The rain date for this event will be July 5th, 2024.
Poconos Park is hosting their annual Let Freedom Ring festival from July 3rd through July 6th, with a firework display on July 6th. The 45-minute drive from The Swiftwater will bring you to a four-day festival features a daily carnival with a 40-foot-tall ferris wheel along with food trucks, vendors, pie eating contests, and more! Be sure to check out the firework spectacular just after sundown on July 6th!
The Shawnee Fireworks Display at Shawnee Mountain is scheduled for July 6th and only 30 minutes from The Swiftwater. This incredible event is held from 5:30pm-10:30pm and features lots of fun for everyone! From a live DJ to food trucks and dessert trucks, it is sure to be a ‘bang!’ Plan to bring a blanket or chair to lounge and enjoy the firework display at the end of the night!
